Question not enough oil

built 460 motor last year for twd truck pulling, made 3 passes and no 8 cyc rod came out block, bearings were spent, built another this winter just made my 3 pull lost oil pressure which was 70 plus down to 20, tore bottom down no 8 cyc bearings were into the copper, all the rest were ok, using a melling oil hvp, has any one had this problem or might have a solution for this one seems like it is at the back of the motor thanks for any replys

Without knowing who and how the motor was rebuilt there are alot of questions. If the oil passages were not cleaned out after the hottanking and all machine work being done. There could be something plugging that oil passage. If all the oil passages were cleaned real well and the motor built well, then I would look at adding oil restrictors in the heads to keep more oil in the mains and cam bearing areas.
