I was wondering if anyone has heard if FORD was working on a fix for low torque at takeoff ? Just had a field engineer look at my truck last week after it sat there for 3 weeks , he said he had heard of this problem but didnt have a fix. All he told the tech was that I should use a lower gear. How much lower gear is there than 1st. ????? My truck is dog at launch . Any one having this problem ? O by the way the field engineer said they might send out new emblems for the shifter making LOW range 1st. gear . Sounds like a great fix dont it ha ha ha ha ha !!!!!!!

Thunderbird……I must apologize, I did not mean to be so short on an answer. It is an issue that many complain about and truly it would be nice if Ford did the fix…….however, they will not.
The only real solution is MotorHaven. I was not trying to be a jerk in my answer
IMO yes, but ask many here in the halls of FTE...............
Tim - Does the predator have some type of digital guages and control device to allow you to change programs on the fly like the Edge Attitude? That was one reason I was leaning that way was due to the nice clean package

For this call MotorHaven, I have no answer for this one......sorry.
I have a friend who bought the first '03 F-250 6.0 from our towns dealer...The truck has 15,000 miles on it and he called me today and said that his clutch was slipping very badly...He recently had the Predator 100hp setting on it but took it off a few weeks back...It's a 6speed too...He is pretty mad about it as i would be too...but i told him that he does not have a "stock" truck anymore...he has a 6 inch lift on it...last weekd he broke the driveshaft yolk on the rear end...(thats why he took out the 100 hp setting)...I was wondering if anyone else has had this kind of problem with thiers...one of my trucks is a 6 speed but it only has 6,000 miles on it...I thought that it might be engine oil leaking from the rear main seal into the bell housing and making it slip, but wouldn't you be able to smell burning oil?...any suggestions would be appreciated...thanks
