02 Explorer rear end problems.....
Hello,
I have an 02 Explorer that has supposedly a "bad" rear end at 62,000 miles. I've been told that it is due to the rear end being made out of aluminum, which doesn't maintain its integrity after so many heating and cooling cycles, and eventually the oil seeps out? A former Ford tech says it is a common problem. Anyone else have this problem , and if so, what did it take to fix it?
