Hello, people.....I am currently thinking of purchasing my friends truck, but we have no idea of it's value. It has 2 tone red and black, is a f100, has a 390 in it, automatic...and has a complete guage package. The truck is complete, as it was his grandfathers, and only has 72000mi. The body is fair/good, and is still restorable, the interior is still like new. Any help on this is appreciated. I want to be fair.....moving is forcing the sale of his baby. Any further q's will be answered promptly, Thanks.
If it has everything in order, original, with no modifications and the 390 is stock you may talk about $1800 or 2000. A fair price for a '72 F100 Sport Custom. Good luck.
The truck is all original.....their is some go fast parts for it ....heads,intake,diff,torque converter, carb.....all on the bench and avalible. I know what they are worth.....he sent me to pick them up! Are their alot of these trucks kickin around?.....we have looked and have not found another like it yet, or are we lookin in the wrong spots?
Yes, there are alot around-at least where I live. I See more Sport Customs than other models. Value depends largely on area. Is there rust? A rust free truck in the rust belt is worth more than the same truck in the south west, for example. Look on trader on line for your area and see what it comes up with.
Their is some rust on it, inner fenders, the drivers side has surface rust....it sat on a street for 25 of it's years. The most common around here is the rangers, they were really popular. Lookin on the online trader.....good idea. My friend and I are going to see if we can hash out a deal today.....I need this thing like a hole in the head, but have put alot of time in it...brakes, shocks...ect,and don't really want to see a new face behind the wheel. I did a lookin' and parts seem fairly avalible, I live in Canada and most of them are on the other side of cource. Any further input would be appriciated.....and I might own this old girl today???
