Does anyone know.....

Where I can get a tallight wiring harness for my 88 F-150?

Mine is hacked all the hell so I am wanting to replace it. I took it off today & ran by the Ford dealership & they say no longer available. They also had a list of part numbers so I didn't bother asking for them thinking that I may be searching for a needle in a haystack.

I am needing one that isn't spliced at all. All wires must still be in the original insulation.

I prefer new, but I will settle for used.
Hey maybe someone can tell me if I send my harness to those painless wiring guys that maybe they will build me one?

Looking for ideas!!!

Junkyard would be the best bet. Though what I would do is buy the brand new sockets from NAPA for the lamps and then buy high quality marine wire from West Marine and make my own harness. I would probably splice into the harness from somewhere towards the middle of the bed and put a waterproof harness connector there. That way you can always make up a newer shorter harness anytime the one to the tail lamps got damaged from towing or off-road.

What I have used for splicing is the connectors that melt around the wire when you heat them up, then I put shrink wrap on top of that. Pretty bomb proof.
