I have a 94 ford ranger, last night while I was driving the dash lights went out and the ABS light started flashing and there is no brake lights. Does this sound like a fuse problem or something else? Any help you can offer would be great!!!

Reason: missed a problem
I have a 94 ranger, last night the brake lights and dash lights went out and the abs light started flashing, any idea what the problem is? Is it a fuse? I appreciate any help you can offer!
Welcome to FTE.
The dash lights fuse is space # 4 in the fuse panel in the cab.
The RABS module is # 7.
The brake lights is # 11.
Now that's 3 separate fuses. Having all 3 blow at once is rare at best. Check/change them & see where that leaves you.
Have you checked the fuses yet? That seems to be the first place to look. It could be a wiring problem, which will take some time to troubleshoot with a VOM. Since the ABS is flashing, my guess is that's probably the culprit. Check the fuses and let us know what you find.
It sound like a ground problem. I looked in my 98 book and the brake lights,ABS,and dash lights use the same ground. problem is there are other things on that ground that you didn't say were bad. but there is a factory splice that coud be the problem. remember this is a 98 book. easyest way I guess is to pull the tail light and check to see if the ground wire is connected to the ground on the battery with a vom. If it is, woops I don't know what I am talking about. if it isn't get a wiring diagram and find that splice or routing for the ground.
