trans bangs

Hi i have a 96 explorer and i done tha transmission rebuilt.Before the rebuilt it was baging on the downshifting from 2 to 1 gear.After the rebuid it bangs on 1 to 2, 2 to 3 and when it downshifts at this geras.please if now anyting help me because it's gona druve crazy

Hard shifting is oftentimes caused when the transmission sets a fault code (O/D light flashing). Is your O/D light flashing? Has the light been removed? You can check when you turn the key on.
