Clutch questions
Ok, Pep Boys carries a Luk clutch kit with flywheel for 679. Their warenty however doesnt cover wear, just equipment malfunction for a year.
Another place, Carquest, carries a clutch kit that has a lifetime warrenty for 550 (or so).
My question is, go with Luk, or a clutch that has a lifetime warrenty?

I just had the LuK clutch/flywheel installed in my truck. Very happy with it. Never heard of anyone offering a lifetime warranty on a part that wears. Who's the manufacturer? And you can find the LuK clutch kit for as low as $545.00 if you search the web. The LuK clutch pedal force required to depress the pedal is a lot less than the stock steup(one of the benefits).

The guy at carquest told me it was a lifetime warrenty, but when i look online, its just a 1 year, 12000 mile warrenty. When you buy your Luk online, what kind of warrenty does it come with ?

I would get the LUK. Lifetime warranty will not cover labor costs. Also as a side note I will NEVER buy anything from Pep Boys. There is a class action lawsuit pending against them for terminating the employment of workers who were called up for active military duty.
