Hey guys I had some bad luck lately and crashed my 97 eddie bauer . Since I have to buy all new front bumper and grill I wanted to change it to a lightning front . I tried searching for info on how to do this but didnt find anything . Does anybody know where I can get some info on what parts do I need / where I can get these parts . I think I might have to use a 99 grill and most likely the lightning front bumper brackets. Thanx in advance guy

 

I saw it somewhere recently for the F150 but can't remember where. From memory, if your Ex was made 6/96 or earlier you will need the headlight header panel(to update the headlights and corners). You will also need the bumper brackets, bumper and grill surround.

I'll look around and try to remember where I saw the conversion.

 

I was checking out parts at http://www.ford-auto-and-parts.com/ and all the parts are the same between the 99 and 97 I was matching a 97 Expedition againt a 99 explorer & Expedition

 

The 97 trucks have 2 different header panels. 4/96-6/96 and 7/96-03. The headlight basket is also different.
