Need ECU Help
Ok I am wanting to purchase a Diablosport chip for my '96 F-350 powerstroke Duelly. The problem i am having is locating the code.
I have looked everyewhere that everyone says to look with no avail. Also when I pulled the ecu i noticed that there is no access to where the chip is normally pluged into. Does anyone know if this is a common problem and if so is there a workaround or do i need to replace the ecu. So if any one has any feed back on finding the ecu code and/or what to do about chip installation then please let me know. Thank You in advance for any information that anyone can share.

The ECU has a very large wiring harness bolts to one side. On the exact opposite side there will always be an access door. Its usually black plastic, but some are metal. When the ECU is in the truck, this door faces the passengers and the wiring harness faces the engine bay.
You can identify where it sticks through the firewall (drives side) by seeing a large square brack with a wiring harness going into it. The harness will be held in place with a 10mm bolt through the center. If you can't find it, give us a call.

Need ECU Help
On the 1996 model year the PCM (Ford calls the ECU -Electronic Control Unit- a PCM -Powertrain Control Module- in the Power Stroke) is installed from the engine compartment into a recess behind the parking brake.
