broken seat frame

In a 91 Navajo, drivers side. It's a two door so it'd be the same as a sport trac. Thought i found one in a local yard for $40 with the same coloring. So i beat a path on down there only to find it's not in the vehicle, only in his computer. But the passenger seat is there.

So here's what i'm wondering after having mine out and looking at the bottom side. Other than the way it mounts to the floor is there any reason i couldn't take it apart somewhere around or jsut below the sliders and use it on the drivers side?

One more question. how do the wires come out of the lumbar support switches? I thought a small screwdriver would release a tab inside them but that doesn't seem to work.

oh heck, there is that release so the whole seat will slide forward for rear seat entry. That would be side dependent, wouldn't it?

any luck on replacing the seat frame? if so, where did you find a replacement and what was the cost?

I have a '98 Explorer Sport, and the drivers' side seat frame is broken just in front of where the recline lever attaches on the left side. The frame metal simply failed and broke through top to bottom. i think i can can buy just the lower frame, attach the seat cover/foam to it and bolt it on to the rails. Please let me know if there is anyone else w/experience out there.
