What carbs are interchangable?
I have a 1978 f-150 with a 300 and the 1-barrel carb. I'm looking at buying a brand new carb for a 81-83 F-150, it a 1-barrel too. I just want to know if it is a direct bolt-on to my manifold. I noticed that the new carb has an electric choke, what would I have to do to make this electric choke work?

The carb should be direct bolt-up. If it is afeed back carb, I don't know about the interchangeability. As for the choke, you need a hot wire that is only hot when the engine is running. The wire on my 82 comes off the alternater a (white/black)
