Can you sing?

Well I dont want to step on another post again,so I figured I would start this one, figuring it would be cool to hear about those who can and those who think they can (after 6 or 8 beers).

Me,The only time I sing is when I need to feed my family, but if after reading this, you decide to try it,you will need proper training. The reason is,every time I try to sing I end up getting slaughtered with vegetables, which has its good points if you are properly trained to tell which ones are good and which ones are rotten,This takes lots of practice and you have to be able to sustain for long periods, causing the thrower to run out of rotten ones, forcing him to throw the fresh ones. But be warned, watermellons do hurt!

Well, to be honest, KT, yes I do.
Years ago I sang at the beer joints, mostly for another longneck or two, and did well enough after 12 or so to keep at it. Of course the crowd was hammered, too, but what difference does that make?

Now only at church or Skilled Care facilities, schools for the mentally handicapped, etc. But, it is just as rewarding.

No, I can't sing and neither can my wife, even though she thinks she can and practices daily.

I'm famous for my singing talents. This was classified information until recently but the US Army is using a recording of my rendition of "Livin' La Vida Loca" to drive terrorists out of their caves in Afghanistan. A simple loud speaker attached to the roof of the HumVee and everyone inside comes out, hands in the air . . . weeping at the beautiful sound of my voice.

Oh yeah, I thought I was having terrible luck with rock chips, all these crazy cracks in my windshield. Turns out the window had cracked from the INSIDE . . . time to remove my radio!!!

I'll tell ya: You can put me out, on the street, put me out, with no shoes on my feet, you can put me out, put me out, put me out of misery.
Heck, I love to sing, but every time I try, people tell me I sound just like a howling dog!!!! Dang.

If the radio's up loud enough that I can't hear myself... then I can sing pretty good, especially low grunts and grungy sounds like singing Godsmack or Metallica. But I can't really sing worth a crap, wish I could though. Allison Krauss is my fav, I love to hear her sing.

I rap good though...not, maybe if I was wrapping christmas presents... Did anyone see Joe Schmoe try to rap on that eppisode... OMG that was so bad. I'm not sure what was worse, him or William Hung doing "She Bangs"

If William Hung can sing; so can I. I am almost as good as him.

My wife can sing - made a lot of money in college doing singing telegrams - singing at weddings and any other special event. Now its pretty much limited to church as a soloist (hates taking time to practice with the Choir - so she sings by herself when the Choir takes time off). I'm not wild about it, leaves me watching two yardapes by myself - I'm always afraid I'll burst out with $#^@R*(# in the middle of a solemn moment as one swallows a button while the other tears a hymn book in two.
