Also a lot of subtle changes. Fuel bowl/filter assembly is slightly different, new PSD has an intercooler, injectors are different, new PSD has 15 quart oil capacity instead of 14. I'm sure I missed a few changes.
So the early 99's don't have an intercooler????? If that's the case, how difficult is it to add one???? Does it make a significant difference? So many questions, so little typing ability.
The difference would be in your manufacture date. Mine was built in April of 1998, but of course, is a 99 by the design change. Those built after December 1998 are true 99's by the calender year.
I've heard of intercoolers before but I am not sure what they are or what they do. They look just like a radiator but it sounds like air flow through it instead of water.
Also if my '95 doesn't have an intercooler then why does Banks sell one with their powerpack package for my year truck?
