I just bought a 1987 Bronco Eddie Bauer with the 5.0L EFI, OD automatic and Borg Warner 1356 (?) T-case which is, of course, electrically shifted in this high end (read "weekend golfer") 4X4. The guts of the electronic shift motors control board are lying out on the passengers floormat and I'm really not all that interested in trying to get the stupid electric system going again. It gets to like 45 or 50 degrees below, Celcius, where I live so I want to convert it to manual shift.
I am heading to the city this week and hope to hit the auto wreckers for a look-see.
Is this an easy swap? Do I simply find another 87-92 Bronco with a manually shifted case and rob the components? Is there some kind of electronic shift position sensor I need to be concerned about on the manual shift system?
I know someone has done this swap before for prolly the same reason, ie; the electronic shift is crap. Any help appreciated. Pictures especially awesome. The manual is a really big help with its one small non-informative paragraph on the electric shift system!

P.S. If I can't convert it easily, I'm gonna jack up the front and swap in a two wheel drive front end and pull the rear lift blocks. Ford shoulda made some like that anyways
