Joe, Last questions
When will the 6.0L engine be coming out? I checked a couple days ago and the dealer says he can't get any yet. I'm wondering also on the price difference between the Powerstroke 7.3L and the 6.0L. I know you work at the factory and might not know if the 6.0L is more expensive or not but if you do I'd like to know. It will help on my decision on which one I'll buy.
I know buying an unproven engine will have it's drawbacks. It's the same story as when I bought the Powerstroke that I have now. There have been several improvements to that engine since the 95 model which I have now. I gotta tell ya though, that 95 model is still going strong with over 200K on it with no major failures. (The water pump is the most expensive part that I've changed since It was new.) The only time the valve covers have been off is to change the glow plugs. By the way, I'll be keeping the 95 model too. I just can't seem to be able to wear it out. I've never had to add oil in between changes. And to me it runs as great as the day I bought it. But I'm a mechanic and I do my maintenance.
