First, ill apologize for making another post about this topic but im new to this site and couldnt find any info on this particular truck and i have a few questions that i hope someone out there can answer for me or get me pointed in the right direction.
1. what years are 4x4 and suspension components the same, what differences are there between f100, f150, f250?
2. where could i find a good manual(ford service manual)?
3. any general information about what im getting myself into?
id like to avoid swapping frames so any help would be greatly appreciated.
This topic has been covered and the general consensus is that frame swapping is the preferred method. The differences between 2wd and 4wd are too great to make it a bolt-in swap. Much welding. That being said it has been done.
For a service manual check out the on-line store. (button marked 'parts shop' at top of page) There are service manual on CD rom there. Best you can get, and it supports this web site.
