Any suggestions?

Hey guys I have a 68 Mustang coupe and I'm debating on wheter to sell it or not. The only thing that would keep me from selling it would be if I could find a place that could turn it into a convertible for me. Do you guys know of any places? I heard that there was a place in Kentucky, but I never got their number or anything. Also it would have to be somewhere close to Ohio. Thanks in advance.

I think that taking a coupe and making it into a convertible would kill the value of your car. I know lots of people are sticklers for keeping those cars all original. I would suggest selling your coupe and buying an original convertible if thats what you really want. Just my two cents.

Hi, I have a little experience with Mustangs. I currently own a 69 fastback. Mustangs like many other uni-body cars get much of their structural strength from the roof structure. Convertibles have reinforcement made into the floor pans and frame rails. Sawing the roof off and adding the weight of convertible parts will weaken the overall structure of the car. Another thing to consider is the parts and labor involved to do the conversion. In my opinion I believe it would be cheaper to buy a convertible in driver condition and go from there.
