Rust to primer?
Has anyone tried the Rust primer/neutralizer? What I want to do is use this on my frame rail where I have surface rust forming and use the primer to apply truck bed liner???? Anyone tried anything like this?

I used it on my tailgate window seal area and on the lower panel. It does what it says it will. It turns black and looks like it seals up pretty well. I also put 2 coats of primer on top and then used some spray on bedliner. It's holding up so far.

I was also thinking of doing something on the frame. It's starting to get surface rust a little bit. What would be better? Try to really get all that rust off and prime and paint for protection, or is that rust converter primer just as good? Also, is using that bedliner better than using a primer/paint combination that was made for rust prevention on the undercarriage, like a POR-15? Thanks.

I also am wondering which would be better- paint/bed liner. Only said the bedliner because its a bit thicker... seems like it might make a better seal thus further preventing rust....???

I've used 'Miracle Paint' from Bill Hirsch in Newark, NJ. This stuff paints right over rust and hardens with exposure to moisture. I put it on the frame of my Bronco 9 years ago and it's still holding up, even after some salt exposure.
I have it on my master cylinder and my shop spill brake fluid on it, didn't even mark the finish.

I did the rust neutralizer/ duplicolor spraycan bedliner thing on my floorboards. It works great, I dont think you even really need to use primer between the nuetralizer and the bedliner spray. I didnt and it still hard as a rock.
