Hi, just joined after searching around message boards and believing this one has the most positive feedbcak around. Anyway, my 91 Bronco has the dreaded Check Engine Light coming on intermittently while driving. Seems to be OK when cold, but as she warms up the light comes on, goes off, comes back on. Exhaust smells. I think it smells like ammonia, friends say rotten eggs. Running rich.??
I replaced the HO2 sensor, did the tune up with plugs, wires, cap & rotor, fuel filter. Don't have a code reader and Ford wants $200 to plug it in. If anyone has some do-it-yourself suggestions, I'd appreciate it.

Did you disconnect the battery when you did all this? The computer needs to reset. You don't need a code reader check out www.fordfuelinjection.com and look at getting codes.
OOPPS. Forgot that part. Yeah, disconnected the battery, turned on the headlights for 10+ min. Total drain. (With the Hypertech Chip removed.) Re-connected the battery and went thru the "learning" procedure. Then, since the light kept coming on, re-installed the Hyperchip per instructions. Same symptoms. I'll go check out the link. Thanks
