Hey greenterror, have you figured it out yet? What type of vehicle are we working on?
You need to find the wire that goes to the compressor that becomes hot when you select defrost. You will need a voltage testor or test light at least to see which line provides the current to it. Your line to the ignition will probably be to your fuse box.
