Today my truck ran fine, had the A/C on going down the highway. Get home go inside for a few hours and go back out to leave and all it does is crank over, not even one sign that its going to start. I don't understand, it was running just fine before I went in for a few. I know its getting gas, I can smell it.....I haven't checked to see if its getting spark, im going to try and track down whats the problem. Anyone have any pointers about doing so, I don't want to go to Autozone and buy stuff I don't need! Its a 88 XLT L 302 EFI and a 5 speed. Any pointers would be great!
All it pulled was Netural Pressure switch open, KOEO. Maybe it didn't have enough time to catch it and store it in the computer? My check engine light works and it has never came on once. I think the coil went bad or something because plugs, wires, cap or bug just doesn't make it not start up all of a sudden.
Okay, I really need some help here, today i have replaced the dis. cap and rotor, plug wires and coil with nothing, just cranks with no sign of starting. I had a friend test to see if the coil was giving off any fire and its not, I made sure everything was hooked up right and so on. Now I have a question, the computer gave me a 67 KOEO code, which is something on the lines of a Neterual safety switch being open of what not. Would this gone bad make my truck not start, it has what I think to be the MOD5-speed stick. I don't know if this helps but I could start this thing without the clutch engaged and in gear. I really need some help, I have no fire at the coil and don't know what else that needs to be replace......I need her running before tommorow morning. Any help you all have I thank you!!!!!
