Scrap yards and eBay. Check with your local old time transmission shops to see if they have one "out back". The franchise places might have one also but I have found they usually aren't interested in keeping stuff around like that. If you find one locally it will be cheaper than having one shipped to you. Plus you get to see it and they might have some of the other parts you may need.

If you're looking for a mechanical clutch, try a 65-84 F100/150-350 with a 240 or 300 I-6, or about the same spread with a 302 o and, 82-83 with a 351W, 84-87 will get you an external slave hydraulic bellhousing.
Any Ford truck 4 speed bellhousing will bolt to a Ford T18, just have to get the SBF pattenr to bolt to your 289.
