Have a 95 Aerostar and would like to install a CD player from my other vehicle (after market Panasonic). Finally got the old Ford "Premium" cassette/radio out and found that the wiring is very different. Can I get a kit to plug my Ford wiring into the new stereo without cutting wires? The Ford stereo has two sets of wires with plugs that connect to the stereo but my Panasonic CD player only has one group.
My CD player also has a fuse grouped with the wiring but the Ford does not. What is this for? Also - I have rear seat controls for the stereo including headphone jacks. I dont reallly care about the controls but the headphone jacks are handy.
So basically, can I buy a kit that will make this a simple plug and play or will I be hacking away at a million different coloured wires (with no markings on the Ford side)???
