We heard that we can put chips in our diesel engine to improve torque and horsepower. Any info would be helpful. The truck: 1997 F350 automatic transmission with selectable overdrive 7.3L powerstroke off road package crew cab 4x4

Go back to the first entry on the message board, and you'll see that this site sells chips. Read through the questions and answers, and you'll probably learn what you need to know. There's also an entire message board dedicated to chips.
I hope this helps.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 13-Oct-02 AT 02:01 AM (EST)]Oh yeah, you can chip 'em all right. Diablo, and Superchips (the ones sold on this site) are good ones. There are literally dozens of others to choose from too. You'll aslo want to consider gauges (exhaust gas temp. at the very least) intake, and exhaust modifications. Try the search function. (I also sent you an e-mail to help get you started)
