My headlights are as yellow. Have any of you guys noticed this on your trucks? Have you replaced your headlights with new ones? Did you use factory OEM ones or aftermarket ones?
I saw the thread last night but didn't reply since I haven't replaced mine. I opted to clean mine rather than buy aftermarket or OEM. Cleaning is quick and easy; you may wish to give it a shot first. The price on those aftermarket OEM ones is attractive; depending on who/where made a part and what it is, I'm always leary of quality and longevity. You're correct, this is a forum for people with questions. Sometimes it just takes some time for someone with the answer to come along. Hang in there .

I have posted a solution for yellowing\dull plastic lens headlights. You can search under dull headlights. Basically buy a polishing pad for your drill and some plastic polish. Takes about 15 minutes per lens. Easy as pie. Works great and it's cheap.
I've heard tell that aftermarket corners and tail lights can allow water to leak in. I have aftermarket corners, but living in Southern California, don't get enough rain for that to be an issue even if true. I suppose aftermarket headlights could have the same problem. If you decide on aftermarket lights, it might be a good idea to run a silicone bead over the seal to help ensure it _stays_ sealed.
Honestly, I think you ought to buy the set that you feel you'll be the most happy with. It really get's down to how you want the truck to look is all. IMHO, unless I were going to go clear on all corners, I'd pick option #1.
Aftermarket lenses are the ones that 95% of body shops use as they cost less. They usually have excellent quality as to fit but I have heard my share of horror stories too. You spins the wheel, you take your chances with anything.
I bought the diamond clear ones from ebay and i'm happy with them. Really nice, they really add somthing to the ranger. What you shoudl do is get teh diamond clear corner lights take a look at my truck in my gallery, its one of the last couple of pics. I like them, just remember, you have to use the bottom brackets off your old lights and put them on your new lights.
Jus' browsin thro and i saw your headlight issue... a good buddy of mine has a way of gettin his hands on some .. *Real* HID head light replacment(s) for my '98 ranger...I wasnt quite sure on your year ...but I would be glad to ask him if he can locate some HID or even look alike kits for ya...
Btw: the only reason I havn't swapped out yet ...is b/c the wigwags wouldn't suite too well with HIDs. But my strobes would be awesome...
