I am building a 351W that is going to go into an 86' Bronco but i need to figure out if i am going to have hood clearance issues with my Intake manifold.
I will be using a Edelbrock Air-Gap Intake, not sure what carb and then of course an air cleaner.
I doubt you will have any hood clearance problems. THe first thing you would hit would be the cowl area under the windshield, as the carb sits about four inches away from that. You have over 10 inches from the top of the stock intake to the hood, so even with the Air Gap and an open element air filter, there should still be a few inches left to go to the hood. I have some of these measurements in my gallery, either here or at superford.org under same name. I needed to get all of these measurements to fabricate an adapter plate for my shaker setup on the 84 Bronco.
