Talking Whats this thingy?

What do you call the plastic bushing on your steering arm where it first comes through the firewall?? (74 f250, 4x4) The clips on mine are broken, and I cant tell the parts stores around here what its called to see if they can get a new one. No junk yards around here have vehicles that old.. Also anyone got any suggestions on a temp fix that doesnt permanently stick the broken one back in the hole??

Are you referring to the plastic bushing which is in the bottom of the steering column. The steering shaft goes right through the center of it.

If so, it is called the "lower column bushing". A good place for old ford steering column parts is

www.wildhorses4x4.com

If you don't see it online in their catalog, call them.
