Ford did not put a 460 in a pick-up from 80-82. They started installing them again in 83 in the 250's and 350's.
From 1980 up, Ford never installed a 460 in a half ton (F150)
Also, 4wd transmissions from these years are different from 2wd's. The tailshaft housings are designed to allow a transfer case to be mated to them.
Transmissions in the 150's thru 350's are interchangeable, as long as they are from the same engine family.
