Im looking for the Cruise Control Computer. I need to find the wire that detects the speed of the vehicle. " Speed Detection Circuit". I think that I can also find it on the ABS Unit.
I believe that the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) is located at the rear end of the vehicle. That's where all the sensing for speed is, at least that's where the cruise information comes from.
If it is just your cruise, then I can't help. When mine went out I also lost my horn and drivers air bag. It turned out to be the "clock spring" in the steering wheel where all the wires route through.
First, I believe that there are two fuses related to some of the switches related to the cruise. Those are located on the interior fuse box, at least they are on my van.
There is a plug in that goes on the brake master cylinder that measures brake pressure.
Clock spring is a good one if you're having those problems too.
No cables or anything. Everything goes through the PCM. You've got the Brake On/Off switch (should be the same one that turns the brake lights on and off), the switches on the dash, PCM, Vehicle Speed sensor (reads everything at the rear end).
