Question Regarding Billet Grilles

I was seriuosly thinking about getting a billet grille for my 96 Bronco because I think they look badass. One question I had is when you're opening the hood, how to you put your hand throught the grille to move the latch?

most that ive seen come with a bracket that mounts to your hood release arm to extend it up to the top so you can open it after you pop the hood from the inside. DW

Yes, most of the quality grilles come with the relocation hardware. Stay away from the grilles you see on ebay though. They are chinese imports, normally with poor quality (If my sig doesnt tell you where I stand on supporting American companies...)

I will have to post pics of the grille mod that I did to the new Bronco (93). It required relocating the secondary release so I drilled a hole in the secondary latch handle (the one you reach through the grille to release) and attached a length of 1/16" aircraft cable. I used Nicropress sleeves but regular cable clamps (Crosby's) will work. The cable runs through the weatherstrip between the upper cross member and the radiator and the end attaches to the hood bumper bolt on the passenger side. Once the interior release is popped, the gap between the hood and the grille is enough to slip a hand in and pull the cable thus releasing the secondary latch.
