My Gallery's Up!!!
All the suspension pieces ,springs, etc. were powder coated various shades of black also!
They love me at the place I had it done!
Thanks for the compliments!
1) it's a floor shift and still vintage w/out going to a T5
2) It's really a 3spd w/a low 1st gear, great for burnouts! HA!
That tranny's heavy isn't it?! Hey, did you get the email I sent you???
- Shane
Did'nt you get it?
Boy you're not kidding about the trans being heavy!!!
We mounted the engine and bell housing into the frame first, then used the cherry picker to lift the trans in-line & stab it to the motor.
It's a whole lot easier without the body on the frame!
I'm just going to build the body around the engine!
Roger's a great guy! I've bought a few items from him on Ebay.
Are you gonna hop-up the 292?
My truck originally had the 223 6 cyl. in it when I got it. I was looking for a 292 when I ran into a guy here locally who had a storage yard with a 57 Ford station wagon sitting there for 40+years!
It was wrecked in the front all those years ago and only had 50,000 original miles on it!
You can imagine my surprize when I lifted the hood and found a very original 312 4bbl engine that had never been out of the car!
I got the whole engine for 400 bucks, I thought that was a good deal!
Oh well, have fun with your project!
Todd.
So where in Ca. are you located & what did you do w/ that 223 I-6?
Cheers

Could you resend your reply to sixoh at yahoo . com? I'm going to change my primary to that. I sent out a bunch of emails to people about that project I told you about for our trucks, and only got a couple back! I KNOW people were probably emailing me! I'm going to update email here to the yahoo account.
Anyway, of course I'm going to hop it up!
I'll go with a hotter cam, Red's headers, and either a 4bbl or a 3-2 setup. I want to use vintage speed equip for it, because 'Daisy is going towards a period hot rod. I am doing the susp. now, and am fabbing up some axle pads for the rear axle flip. When it's all done, she'll look stock outside (Goldenrod and white), have wide whites on her, but have a hopped up original-for-the-truck 292 w/4spd. and be sittin' low! Keep updating your gallery! I want to follow along!

The 223 is LONG GONE!
I sold it to a guy in Paso Robles as soon as I pulled it out of the truck a few yrs. ago.
It was a running motor too, but tired.
I'll try your yahoo address Shane!
I added power steering too.
Makes it a little more comfortable!
Thanks for the compliment!
