engine overhaule
need to know the procedurs and part list for overhauling my 
1984 ford f-150 w/4.9 300 I6 I know how to take things apart and put them back to gether but overhauling anything is new to me. this is my first truck and it is 
****ing me off with the amount of problems it has. the neglected truck i bought off my mother for a doller because it still had hope the body was desent till an engin problem caused an accedent a 5 doller part that was replaces a week before the accedent failed so i'm getting ready to start replacing any thing that is rusted under that hood

never mind on this the engine problem is more serious than i can fix the block is cracked at the thermostat housing the bottom bolt will not tighten tryed everything.

JP Weld is a product that you can use to fix the crack. You mix it up and then stick it on, it turns to a metal like materal. Then you just drill and tap it and put the thing back together. You can get it at autozone or a like store.
