Intake leak help please!
Got an 82 F150 351W with the infamous 7200VV. Have R&R'd the card several times. Still have rough idle but when carb cleaner is sprayed to front of intake just below carb, engine speeds up and smoothes out. I've used new gaskets, tried Permatex with them too, even a new carb spacer. Speaking of which, can the carb be tightened down too much? Possibly warping the black phenolic spacer? thanx Mark

It isn't sucking through the carb body itself is it? Are you doing this with the breather on, where its drawing the carb cleaner into the top of the carb?
I don't know if emmisions are an issue for you. I have heard people say that you can swap these out for the regular Motorcrfat 2bbl's with out a lot of headache.
I can't verify this, its just what I have been told.
