Explain Axle Tag info

my axle tag on 82 f150:

M D6 1J17
00 9 316B

Thats how it reads after scraping mud and crap off it with a rock.

Anyone tell me what I got?

willing to bet in front of the 00 there is a 3. making it a 3.00:1 9"

Almost always the first digit of the ratio is under that bolt... and it's not a factory limited slip unit.
