1/4 MILE MONSTER!!
We pulled the race car to Rockingham this weekend to run Wild street in the Holcomb civil war race. after having nitrous problems with the race car , I decided to enter the diesel truck shootout. most all of the trucks,GM's,Fords,Dodges where in the 17 to 20 second range in the 1/4 mile. Well I felt pretty good about running mid-15's, and even better about getting to the finals. It was a ford vs. dodge shootout, and although I wish I could say I won-I didnt. How about the Dodge ran a 12.96 @ 105 mph !! That was with with a muzzleload of nitrous(NX diesel kit)and ALOT of boost. We were both in 4wd of course, so traction wasnt an issue. My gauge was reading 24 psi of boost when he came by me.Gotta give credit where its due, that is one fast diesel, even if it was on nitrous. Oh well I'm still very happy with what I ran ,on 295/75r16 BFG A/T at that. Gotta love them diesels! Later - Philip
