If you have quality stainless there isn't much to do. Warm soap and water, glass cleaner is all I use on mine. They still look brand new after a couple of years. I'm in Maryland, and they like to use a ton of road salt when it snows, not to mention, salt spray from the ocean which I see quite a bit in the warmer months...

i do about the same as dk5122. wash em with warm water and soap with a soft cloth so not to scratch em...then to get em shiny i just hit em with a little glass cleaner. glad to hear that they've kept for a few years...cuz i got mine bout a month ago, so i should be good to go.
