Trans is Slipping !!! HELP !!
My truck is having problems with thw trans. It is hunting for the right gear, but everywhere I go ??? not on grades, but from stop light to stop light when using OD, also, after driving for a few hrs. if I stop, I have to mash on it to get it to move, 1st slips, when it shifts to 2nd. it;s fine ??? Anyone else have this problem ???? It's at the trans shop now, they will let me know what they find monday. I have 25 miles left on my extended warranty, but a $500 deductable !!!! Hopefully they will just rebuild the damn thing and just charge me $500- that would be good !! anyways just wondering what you all thought and was wondering if this happens often ??

Hi, I have a similar problem with V10 Motorhome. I'm in Australia, I was stuck in a traffic jam the other day and mine did similar stuff to yours .. only 30k miles on mine 2000 model. I could stop the problem by putting into 1st gear and leaving it there. I have been looking at it being computer related but Ford in Australia seem to not have and programmes relating to my chassis. I have been thinking of buying my own SKU Superchips 1715 programmer so i can monitor what is happening and maybe give it updated software. Not sure if this will help but new computer programme might be cheaper than a rebuild.
