Smile Difference between 96 e350 and 98 e350 powerstrokeDifference between 96 e350 and 98 e

Does any one know the difference between a 96 e350 and 98 e350 with powerstroke with respect to engine power.

Any information did the 96 or 98 had the better transmission? Thanks

I think the '98 should be a little more powerful than the '96. The '98 I think has the 4R100, while the '96 I think has the E40D. I am not completely sure about the transmissions.

Thanks for the information. I have the choice of purchasing a 1996 E350 with 84,000 miles and a 98 E350 with 150,000 miles for the same price. Both are in excellent condition. If there is not too much difference between engine and drivetrain, the 96 is the better buy. I am trying to decide.
