Time for wheels
Oh yeah, I'm going to 33's but would also like to hear which size in width you'd choose.
other than that...let's hear what you folks would choose....
manufacturer and wheel style.
Thanks in advance
When you going to post us some pics of your rig and engine in your gallery? Maybe waiting until after the new wheels?

I will post pictures when I get the Bronco back from my buddy's
(we are fixing some door dings) and will shoot the original colors (I also got a new tailgate). I will cutt and buff the whole thing.
I will also ask to see if I can stuff 12's under the truck.
I think the only clearance issue will be them torsion bars for the front differential assy and being the good engineering student I am, I will fab up some tubular units and migweld them.....then get them powdercoated.
Kevin, our motors look so much alike (exterior) it is scary!!! I will post pics
when the truck is detailed.
Where you at in N CA?
Looking forward to seeing pics of your ride! I've heard about putting your subs underneath, sounds really interesting...I hope you post pics and instructions on that process.
I'm out in Tracy, you probably read the info about my my fire in my previous Bronco in my gallery? I just took the 408 with my 94 F150 to Mustang Ranch in Santa Clara to get it installed, tuned and Dyno. It seems that when the 408 was put together before, the guy that put the engine in goofed up the intake gasket and it was leaking, this leak allowed the fire retardent used to get into the engine. When they (Mustang Ranch) took the engine apart part way for the new cam install last week, they found a efforescence material in the cylinder heads. Upon further investigation and removal of the cylinder heads, it turns out the fire retardent got into the cylinders and corroded all the pistons and some on the cylinder walls. So, I'm now having to bore it out another .10 to .40 over and had to order a new set of pistons. The only piston mfg. that had anthing off the shelf in a .40 over forged for use with the twisted wedge heads was Probe, have you heard much about their products? I really dont want to have to wait 6 weeks for JE/SRP to make a set of .40 overs. In the meantime, I'm driving my Jeep until I get the truck back. I'll be going down to Santa Clara on monday to pick up all the grenaded parts, I'll find out then when I get her back.

LMAO!!!!
I was referring to the tire width!!!! (almost exhaled Coca cola through my nose when I read it)No, I was away for awhile...getting consumed by Calculus, Physics and Chemistry along with MIG and TIG welding classes. Sorry it (engine fire) happened but tragedy always finds a way to bring something new into the equation....
More often than not it is usually good.
I have heard of Probe Industries pistons, I am not a fanatic of their engine building partners (I'm sure you know who I am talking about).
If you still have your intake off....bead blast the exterior only (120 grit media) and bring it to me. Heck, if you have the supercharger pre TB tube, have it bead blasted too and bring it to me as well. (trust me) Perhaps we can meet in the East bay somewhere....
Santa Clara's Mustang Ranch builds decent engines, excellent choice!
I am also aware the Wiseco Pistons carries off the shelf pistons for twisted wedge heads.
Which rings are you using? Which roller rockers did you go with?
After I'm done with the paint etc...the front bumper is coming off and
I am going to drill some 4.25" holes on each lower side....and weld some short tubes flush with the front....get it rechromed and install the 88-95 mustang driving lights.
One thing at a time though...
Grey Streak, great to have you back!!! I will definitely keep your setup in mind....as I am already running 15x10's only with 32x11.5 tires
I'll post some teaser pics of the oil filler tube showing part of one of the roller rockers.
And a front angle pic of the Bronc
look at the albums under my profile
cheers

. I had 33x12.5 muds under my Bronco with a 4" Cepek lift, they fit good. Full lock in one direction did slightly contact the extended radius arm though. So, on the engine going into the F150, it will be naturally asperated, no Supercharger. Ratsmoker's Desktop Dyno Calcs it out to about 430hp/475 lbft. with the new comp cam. If I want more in the future I might go to a 150-200 shot of juice, it should do OK with that. Mustang Ranch is switching me out to a forged crank and the twisted wedges are already o-ring style. They said there was some issues with the existing crank, so I'm having them fix it and save it for a future project. I was a little disappionted in that they said some machining errors were made, considering I had a reputable San Jose machine shop perform the build on the 408 originally, you probably know of them too, Gr***'s.
The roller rockers ae Crane 1.6's I believe. The intake manifold is Edelbrock Truck, with a full port done on it by Anderson Ford Motorsports. I dident have any burrs long enough or access to a flow bench anymore. I'm trying to goose the guy I used to work for years ago into fixing his flow bench. He lives in Morgan Hill now and hasent used it in years.
So what did you have in mind for the manifold? Any other thoughts and suggestions on this while it's apart? Unfortuanatly time is a factor right now on this. I will look into those pistons too.
Thanks
Kevin

I was thinking (PM me for details)
Just be sure to get the blasting done and put them in plastic bags.
When you get them back, they will be a semi gloss black. re:Any other thoughts and suggestions on this while it's apart?

Yes....how about having Mustangranch sending your pistons out to have the skirts moly dry film lube coated.....the best money you'll ever spend.
Usually runs about $150-170 for an 8
This will really free up some friction and allow your engine to spool up quicker as well as prolonging engine life by reducing bore galling.
Other than this....all else looks good!!!

Kevin
I forgot to ask...where do they send the pistons to for the moly dry film lube coating? I guess the turn around on that depends on how busy the places are that does the coating?
I'll contact you tomorrow.
Thanks for your help on this project!
Kevin
