99 SD front end
Took the truck to the dealer today for a noise in the front end . It seemed like the tires were starting to feather a little bit and if I wanted to manually lock the hubs in well , it was hard as he#$ to turn the hub . I asked them to check it out and this is what they told me " upper and lower ball joints , both hubs , rotors and calipers , basically rebuild the front end for $2200.00 , Does this seem high or is this normal ? The truck has 95,000 miles and none of them hard . Any help would be appreciated

Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to much....$500 for ball joints $175 for warn hubs.
$100 for both rotors. I can't see you needing calipers.....you may need bearings...Do you have larger tires on the truck..

I am running 285/75/16 's but I was thinking of stepping up to 305/70/16 's ,that's also why I wanted the front end checked . There is some warping to the brakes maybe this why they said to replace the calipers . It didn't make sense to me either so I spent the whole day looking at 2004's .

Yeah , I found a 04 250 SD/SC XLT in Bright Metalliic Blue 6.0 4X4 S/B . I am trying to work the salesman on the price . Currently i have a 99 250 SD/SC 4x4 S/B Lariat . This model is the XLT and it has the cloth(?) seats . I quess they are cloth but they feel different from anything I am used to , wondering how they will wear .
