on my 88 f250 7.3 there is a little black box about 1 inch square plugged into the wiring harness on the passenger side where the glow plug wires run. the inside of the box has melted and ran out onto the block. could someone tell me what this is. thanks. john
OK, now your gonna make me look stupid. I've never had any problems with that piece, I don't know what it's for. I figured it was a relay for something, maybe the high idle switch. I've got a harness at work, guess I'll have to pull the plastic off and see how it's wired.
hey spectramac, i called the local international dealer down here gave him the part# and he said it was a control for the water seperator. i guess for the dash light? any way i thought it might have something to do with my hard starts. and as far as you looking stupid on this, i think the other 8 zillion questions you have answerd for us diesel impaired will more than make up for it, thanks, john
