I recently got my Autometer E.G.T gauge , and i have not a clue where to mount the Probe. The instructions say to mount it Pre-Turbo for a more accurate reading , but where "PRE-TURBO" is the question. If someone could possibily take a pic , or give detailed instructions to where i should put this thing i would appreciate it ...

I got a pic taken, its not the best but it should help. I will put it in my user gallery for you to look at. This probe is placed on the drivers side of the truck. ITs the lowest point of the exhaust manifold. If you crawl under the truck right by the drivers door and look up you should see the same thing under your truck as you see in the pic.

Are you using a clamp on thermocouple? If you are it's like Dave said, only you're not drilling through the exhaust manifold, you're drilling through the up-pipe to the turbo right after the manifold. Just pick a flat spot in the pipe that is easily accessible (you'll see it right away once you get under there) and follow the Autometer instructions.
Pre-Turbo will be the exhaust thingie that comes right off the manifold on the driver's side of the truck. About 6 inches from where the pipe connects at the manifold. Pick a spot that will not interfere with the probe wires and have at it. While running the wire from the "stinger" up to the inside of the car so they wont get burned and ground out. Also make sure you dont pull the connectors off the wire ends. Should that happen - DO NOT SOLDER. Get new ends and clamp them on. Have fun on your run.:+
