Roadside rescue service
Apparently there is a lot of confusion with these AAA and AARP and Good Sam road service plans about whether or not the tow truck that shows up will help you out if your carrying a truck camper on your truck. This is not about having a trailer in tow. When I called AARP this evening for a clear reading on the isssue the young lady could not get past the "camper" part of my conversation insisting that I had to remove, or detach the "camper" befor she could help me. Realizing that was about as stupid a response as I could imagine, I finally got to a supervisor who was reasonabley able to interperate the party line and knew the difference between a trailer camper and a truck camper.
So, my question is: how does the Ford 36,000 free road side service plan handle a situation where the disabled vehicle has a camper on it when the tow truck arrives? Has anyone read the fine print or know who can tell me? I have a great dealer relationship but all I can get from them is "....well, jerry, it shouldn't be a problem."
