I am planning on buying a pro comp lift. 4" in front and 2.5" in rear. Is this a good lift and is it something 2 good shade tree mechanics can install in a day? 4WP want's 490.00 to install, seems high to me. Also do I need a front alignment after this is done? Are the shocks that pro comp offer with there package any good? There is a guy on ebay offering these complete lifts for $675.00, $80.00 shipping brand new in the box. 4WP has them for $800.00 plus tax for the same kit. I have a 2002 CC PSD 4x4. Thanks.........
I put in the 6" procomp kit by myself and you will definately want a second pair of hands, especially if you dont have a lift, air tools etc. The 3000 series shocks are junk (what I got), the MX6 shocks are much better but still not bilstiens. I bought my kit for 799 off ebay w/the es3000 shocks and the same kit with the MX6's was listed at the same price the next week . There seems to be an over supply of the v10/diesel version of the lift, keep an eye on ebay. I got mine from macromotive on ebay (regualr bricks and mortar store selling overstock, had 100 available). They forgot to add the carrier drop for my ext. cab and their cust svc was excellent, had it out to me the same day I called .
