I have this issue with my 98 4.6. When I put in 4 wheel drive at slow speed (less than 10 miles an hour), the front feels like its struggling to move forward. Especially when I turn the wheel just a little- like 1-2 o'clock (not turned all the way). What should I look for?
Any noise Mike? I am gonna ask a silly question, but are you putting it into 4 wheel on dry pavement? Is so, Ford says don't. If not, then check your gear lube, although if it was low, I would think you would have noise.
