is it possible??
could you put a 63 body on a 70s 4x4 frame with little problems. i want a 4x4 but cant find a swb in the same model. i need an early 70s model so my built 390 will fit.
or could you put a 4x4 drive train under the 63? just some options i am contimplating and would like you opinions.

Anything's possible, some things just require more patients and more $$. In my opinion if you are looking for a more modern 4X4, I would go with a later model frame and drivetrain. You will be better off with the newer style transfer case, diffs, P/S, And disc brakes.
