Door Dings

Is there a good way to remove door dings. I just found another one in my passenger door. I will be able to buff out the scratch for the most part but want to get rid of the ding. Does dry ice really work?

Steve i have heard of people haveing success with dry ice. From what I've heard if the metal is creased it wont work if it's indented it will... hopes this helps some! if not those places like dr dent aren't taht expensive and they do great work. i had some done on my 2000 F-250 20 dings for $120 bucks. they do it by panels like quarte panel 1 ding or 20 same price. where it get expensive is if the dentws or all around the truck. I think it was $35 a panel... so if you had just one panel its pretty reasonable.. Good luck I hate door dings...

Dry ice will work but as Jeff said not if it is creased. Most paintless dent doctors will do it for 30 to 40 bucks a pop. I have a pop-it dent remover but have not tried it out yet, planning on trying it on same hail damage this weekend.

I have a couple small ones that I would like to get out. Where do you get those poppers at?

Let us know how it works Rollie. If it does that would make a great GTG project.

I only have a few dings but they are in both doors so it wouldnt cost to much to have them removed. They arent creased so I might try the dry ice thing when it warms up.

dry ice will work but you have to let the part you want popped out get warm. If its just like a hail damage or something cheapest way is dry ice but remember, have the part you want popped out warm or hot. Best to wait till this weekend when its 80!! By the way Dry Ice is about .90 a pound and that should be enuff. Also remember to wear some good gloves so the Dry Ice dont burn your hands!! Just makin sure everyone knows about that!!
