i have a 2002 psd, auto, crew, 4x4. the truck is leveled, has a plow mount, and a goose neck hitch. the motor is stock, the gauges are stock. i want to up the power, and millage. what should be done first? chip? i'm on a budget (who isn't) but want to know what people suggest on improvements that shouyld be made and the order and price they faal in. i tow bob cats and such equipment so i dont want to chip if that will cause a problem. i am pricing the gauges to monitor egt and boost as well.

withn the gauges im looking for an exhaust gas temp and a boost gauge are those right?
what is a better air intake?
by the time those two are done there will problebly be new chips out so i wont ask wich chip is better.
did anyone put the gauges in themselves? is it hard
? where to get them and the pillar pannel for them? thanks guys!!!
i thought the chip then gauges. hadnt even thought of air and exhaust!

I also got my gauges from DIS and installed them myself. Not a hard job at all.
I also agree that the TYMAR is the best intake on the market. I wouldnt buy any other intake system.
There are a lot of companys that sell larger (usualy 4") exhaust, but I've found it to be much easier on the wallet and just as good to build my own. Course, I have a welder and cutting tools.
As for a chip, well, like you said, cross that bridge when you get to it. Things are always changing and improving in the chip buisness. See what's available when your ready to do it.
I also believe that guages, intake, exhaust, and chip is the best order to go in. The intake and exhaust can either be done one or the other at a time, but would be more noticable if done together.
