Has anyone found the style air deflectors that fit into the window track? I found several of the style that stick onto the outside of the door, but I don't really like those.
It appears that Draw-Tite makes the style I'm looking for, but I haven't seen a picture of them on a new F150.
I had purchased the auto vent shades that go into the channel, but they did not work out, messed the window going up all the way, etc. I was told that at high speed with the window down a little they would rattle too. I have since purchased the vent shades that are glued on, and am happy, no problems, and they don't look bad. Had them on my 94 Scab for 10yrs without any problems, would not be without them now.
I just installed the Ventvisor (Autoventshade) and the work great. Easy to install, tight fit, no window problems. The retaining clips have to be fitted in well with a putty knife.
When I traded in my Explorer for the Screw, the appraiser said I got extra points for not having the stick on shades.
I'm using WeatherTech shades. No clips, tape, screws, etc.. They have a fine edge that slides into the window track.. I've had them on for 6 years now and they're still looking good.. Once in a while I'll get a rattle, but they've been getting beat up for quite a few years now.. Easy to install if it's warm out & follow the directions!! I'll try to find & post the company URL..

I didn;t get the clips for my 04 SCAB. I don't think it would have mattered too much as it was the front giving me problems.
I also installed the weathertech's. The look great, back ones on the crew came with double tape to hold it inside the window channel better. The front didn't and I could not get them to stay. Tech support said they rested on the dew wiper, I tried that and they had so much force, it would have split the rubber seal so I just got a little double sided scotch tape and that cured it. The look nice and cause no leaks.
Autoventshade makes 2 styles that go inside the window channel. One style has no adhesive tape and is kept in by virtue of the fact that it goes all the way down to the bottom of the window frame. The other style goes into the window channel and is held in by adhesive tape (on the inside of the channel). This style stops at the side mirror rather than going all the way down. I have this style but haven't installed them yet. I have the same style on my '02 E-150 and they do not impede the windows at all.
I just tried and returned the EGR brand which go in the channel with no adhesive - like the 1st Autoventshade style I described above. These did impede the window from going all the way up at times because they fit so loosely in the channel. The shop I bought the EGRs from told me that Autoventshade did not make the direct channel with adhesive like I wanted - but I found them online. Also - the EGRs partially obstructed the passenger side mirror.
Seems there are several styles of Autoventshade.
What I called clips in my earlier post are really v-shaped wedges that fit into the window channel at the rear of the visor. When pushed into the channel, the wedges do not interfere with the window at all.
I am very happy with the fit and look (barely noticable).
Here is the URL where I found them.
